John Neumann Hickey has concentrated his practice on civil and criminal litigation. He has tried cases to verdict in the Courts of Common Pleas of Delaware, Philadelphia, Montgomery and Chester Counties as well as in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. He is admitted to the Bar of the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania, the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, the United States Claims Court, the United States Army Court of Criminal Appeals, the United States Court of Appeals for  the Third Circuit and the Supreme Court of the United States.

Mr. Hickey is a Board Certified Civil Trial Advocate by the National Board of Trial Advocacy. He attended Trial Lawyers’ College in DuBois, Wyoming. He has an LLM in Trial Advocacy (with Honors). He is a member of the Association of Trial Lawyers of America, the Pennsylvania Trial Lawyers’ Association, the Delaware County Trial Lawyers’ Association and the Guy deFuria American Inn of Court. His is a guest lecturer at Widener University School of Law’s Intensive Trial Advocacy Program.

Practice areas include all areas of civil litigation including complex medical litigation, wrongful death, slip and fall, automobile accidents, catastrophic injuries and employment discrimination. Criminal litigation includes all areas of criminal law from driving while intoxicated to major felonies and death penalty cases.

Mr. Hickey is a graduate of the United States Army Airborne School and is a Distinguished Military Graduate from Mount Saint Mary’s College. He graduated from the United States Army Judge Advocate General School’s Officer’s Basic Course and Judge Advocate’s General School’s Officer’s Advanced Course.
